A flock of sheep in a dream signifies a commendable assembly, dutiful followers, or upstanding residents. Sheep also denote gladness, celebration, a spouse, children, cultivated land, possessions, abundance, or riches, especially when one fulfills the obligatory charity on his earnings and assets. Possessing a flock indicates increasing prosperity. Walking past a herd means encountering a gathering of witless men. If a herd confronts the dreamer, it represents a group that will oppose him, yet he will prevail. Receiving a flock as a gift portends a governmental post, a title of honor, knowledge, a judicial seat, or a divine favor in one's life. Shearing a sheep's wool warns one to keep apart for three days. White and black sheep both signify gain, though white yields greater benefit. Observing a flock denotes enduring contentment. Passing a butcher's shop and seeing sheep's heads and feet signifies a long life. Being transformed into a sheep means spoils or an unexpected prize. A sheep also symbolizes a dutiful son. If a pregnant woman is gifted a sheep, she will bear a boy. Other small livestock denote worries due to the duty of raising boys, while daughters signify worldly success and profit.
