Seeing shade during summer in a dream signifies ease, gain, respect, or entering the protection of an eminent figure. Shade appearing in winter foretells hardship, sorrow, trials, or keeping company with those who promote heresy. Shade also stands for the ruler of the land, a learned scholar, a devout worshipper, a recluse, or a seeker of sacred knowledge. Taking shelter in shade from intense sunlight promises relief, prosperity, or deliverance from danger. For a woman, shade in a dream symbolizes her husband. If an unmarried woman seeks shade, it indicates she will soon wed a wealthy and influential man.
