Seeds in a dream primarily represent progeny, fertility, and procreation. Planting seeds signifies the beginnings of offspring, growth, and future outcomes shaped by one’s actions. Scattering seeds upon the ground in a dream means bearing children in proportion to the number of seeds scattered, each seed symbolizing a child. As for grains that are germinated for medicinal or healing purposes, seeing them in a dream denotes the acquisition of beneficial knowledge that strengthens faith, increases piety, and leads the dreamer toward ascetic detachment from worldly distractions. Seeds of pumpkin, cucumber, eggplant, sweet basil, chard, onion, cabbage, Indian corn, and melon in a dream signify the easing, abatement, or complete cessation of difficulties, worries, and disturbances, and they may also indicate recovery from a severe or terminal illness. If one sees himself planting something that is not a plant, or placing a seed in unsuitable ground, it indicates wasting wealth, squandering property, or investing effort and resources in matters that yield no benefit. Planting seeds in a dream can also symbolize knowledge, lawful wealth, or recognition of a noble and honorable trade. Sprouted seeds represent honor, elevation in rank, and attainment of status after effort and patience. However, planting seeds may also carry a warning, for it can signify associating or mixing with evil or corrupt people, whose influence may shape outcomes just as seeds determine the nature of the harvest.
