Islamic Interpretation
A scratch in a dream signifies monetary loss. If someone is seen scratching the dreamer, it indicates that the scratcher will inflict upon him a limited financial setback, or distress related to a relative, or he may wrongly accuse him of something and later offer compensation for damaging his honor. Should the scratch become infected, bleed, or ooze pus in the dream, it foretells that the aggressor will spread slander about him and bring about a severe downfall in his trade. A scratch over one’s forehead signals swift approaching death. A scratch also symbolizes ill repute, a derogatory nickname like miser, arrogant, or renegade, and the like. Additionally, receiving a scratch in a dream can denote withdrawing or retracting a previous declaration. (Also see Scratching)
