(Debt, Pledge) Making a promise in a vision signifies incurring a debt to the other party. Should one also honor that promise within the dream, it demonstrates his sincerity, faithfulness, and conviction. Extending a favorable promise denotes blessings, gain, and a long life. Receiving a positive pledge from an adversary or opponent portends harm. Conversely, receiving a negative or threatening promise from an enemy foretells good. A promise in a dream is considered a virtuous act. In this context, the individual who is the recipient of a promise in waking life is the one who makes that pledge within the dream.
