Islamic Interpretation
In a vision, poison signifies money. If one drinks poison and his body becomes swollen and secretes pus, it foretells financial gain. If no such physical reactions occur, it denotes grief and anxiety. A fatal dose of poison means death. Should an impoverished person see himself consuming poison, it predicts he will marry. Administering a poisonous drink to another represents committing adultery. Drinking poison may also indicate using a curative treatment, and it can symbolize an antidote or a long life.
