Islamic Interpretation
In dreams, pelting stones, particularly the pebbles used for stoning the devil during the pilgrimage rites, symbolizes fidelity, sincerity, and steadfastness in faith, as well as fulfilling obligations, repaying debts, performing good deeds, and achieving victory over one’s enemy or inner temptations. It reflects discipline, obedience, and resistance against evil influences. Pelting stones may also signify completing obligatory acts of worship, such as prayers and fasting that were previously missed due to valid reasons, indicating rectification and spiritual renewal. However, eating one of the stones meant for pelting carries a negative meaning, symbolizing the unlawful consumption or usurpation of the property of a young orphan, and serves as a strong warning against injustice, exploitation, and betrayal of trust.
