A pear in a vision symbolizes wealth, divine favor, or an illness. Consuming it during its proper season denotes advantages, earnings, or the return of someone long absent. Eating pears out of season indicates a malady or inflammation, though if an ill person does so, it can mean recovery from sickness or the acquisition of illicit funds. Being given a basket or plate of pears signifies receiving an inheritance. For a woman with child, pears represent a male infant, and for an unmarried woman, they denote matrimony. Pears in a dream may also signify the passing and interment of a person afflicted by disease.
