In dreams, passion or desire reflects the state of one’s inner impulses and moral restraint, and fulfilling a desire with intense passion signifies heedless behavior and actions resembling those of the dwellers of hellfire, marked by excess, lack of discipline, and surrender to base instincts. Feeling a strong yearning, such as longing to see one’s homeland, may indicate separation, divorce between spouses, or a rift between close companions, though in some cases it can also point to a reversal of fortune, such as becoming wealthy after hardship and poverty. In general, desire seen in a dream carries negative connotations, especially when accompanied by crying, lamentation, or emotional turmoil, as it reflects inner unrest and moral weakness, and indulging in one’s desires without restraint is a warning against destructive behavior that leads to spiritual loss and divine displeasure.
