Seeing a palm tree in a dream signifies a scribe, a learned scholar, a noble figure, or a wise man who spreads knowledge and wisdom among people. Cutting down a palm tree in a dream points to the death of such a person. Observing a grove or oasis of palm trees means assuming leadership and guiding others toward the straight path. For a merchant or trader, a palm tree indicates success in trade, while for a shopkeeper it signifies profit and gain. A dry and lifeless palm tree represents a hypocritical person. Uprooting a palm tree foretells the outbreak of a plague in that place, or suffering oppression at the hands of a tyrannical ruler. It can also indicate stalled plans or the emergence of conflict. A palm tree may symbolize oneβs paternal aunt, and palm trees collectively can represent Arab women. Seeing a sapling grow into a tall palm tree means that a child from that community will become a great scholar, or that a weak individual will gain strength. A palm tree may also denote long life, a scholar, a teacher, children, a wife, a home, property, authority, a year, new garments, wealth, or childbirth.
