Picking up a forsaken child may also indicate restoring matters to their proper state or relieving distress and sorrow. Planting an apple tree in a dream signifies adopting an orphan or providing care for one. Seeing oneself as an orphan denotes depression caused by injustice. Being an orphan in a dream may also signify sadness arising from love for a woman, or from the loss of property or wealth.
