In a dream, nasal mucus represents a son or a daughter. Blowing one’s nose in another person’s house signifies marrying into that family or betraying the owner through a secret affair with his wife. If a mother blows her nose, it means she will wean her child. If a friend’s wife wipes the mucus of her husband’s guest, it signifies that she will betray her husband and conceive a child from his friend. Blowing one’s nose also means settling a debt or rewarding someone for a kindness. Using another person’s bedsheet to blow one’s nose indicates betraying him with his wife, while using his handkerchief means betraying him with his servant. Clearing nasal congestion signifies relief from distress. Washing or wiping someone else’s nose means concealing his secret life from his wife. Eating one’s own nasal mucus means depriving one’s son of his money. A congested nose represents a pregnant wife. If an animal or bird emerges from the nose while sneezing or blowing it, it signifies begetting a child from a secret relationship with a servant or employee. A sable emerging indicates a son who will grow up to be a thief, while a pigeon signifies a daughter who will become insane. Blowing one’s nose into one’s own shirt denotes committing adultery with a forbidden family member or blood relative. Seeing one’s nose dripping with mucus indicates strong fertility and desire, leading to many children. Nasal mucus also signifies illness, a cold, charity, or a testament. (Also see Phlegm)
