Mental derangement or madness in a dream symbolizes an altered state of awareness that unveils hidden realities, indicating recognition and discernment of evil people, their schemes, and harmful intentions that were previously concealed. It reflects seeing through deception and becoming aware of corruption that others may ignore. At the same time, such a state can carry a merciful meaning, signifying the lifting of burdens through divine pardon, forgiveness of sins, and release from past faults, as if reason is overwhelmed by mercy rather than blame. In this sense, madness points either to unsettling knowledge of wrongdoing around oneself or to spiritual cleansing, where accountability is eased and the soul is absolved through God’s grace.
