Love in a dream represents trials, temptations, and inner tests. Doing what one loves without restraint suggests engaging in acts without limits. Declaring love to a woman in a dream implies hidden aversion toward her. Indulging every desire freely points to deviation from God’s path and a corrupt way of life. Love also signifies anxiety, grief, and sorrow. It may reflect the ability to express feelings, or conversely, emotional concealment. Love can bring trials accompanied by fame and people’s sympathy. It may also indicate poverty, illness, or death. Death itself may symbolize love, separation from the beloved, or life beyond death. Burning in fire signifies love, entering paradise signifies love, while entering hellfire signifies separation from the beloved. Longing reflects heedlessness. Love can also denote religious corruption or financial loss. Loving for God’s sake signifies mercy among people, whereas loving for personal gain points to a partnership ending in betrayal or a marriage without family approval. Feigning love indicates straying from divine guidance. If a scholar pretends to be enamoured, it means deceiving people through embellished speech and contradicting true standards.
