Wailing and expressing longing in a dream carries an ill implication. Lamentation may also symbolize a religious preacher, or it could represent a foul smell emanating from an unclean place. It may likewise signify the howling of dogs, the beating of drums, the clashing of cymbals, or even a marriage celebration. Being present where people mourn their dead warns of a sinister event occurring in that area, or possibly the severing of family and friendly bonds. Mourning a departed person in a dream suggests injury may come from that person's lineage or household. Deeply grieving and weeping over the dead, however, can also herald awakening to immense delight and gladness. Lamenting may also signify troubles brought about by the mourner themselves. It can indicate straying from the right path, or be symbolized by a flute, as a flute represents lamentation. Such wailing also denotes actions born of ignorance.
