To jump from one place to another out of fear or haste in a dream symbolizes facing accusations, slander, blasphemy, or receiving deeply troubling news that tarnishes one's reputation. Jumping down from a great height signifies a state of separation or a shift in one's circumstances from comfort and ease to hardship and distress. By contrast, a rapid, upward jump denotes elevation in rank, success, and an improvement in one's social or professional standing. Conversely, a plummeting or downward jump represents a decline in status, a loss of position, and a general deterioration in one's condition and fortunes. (Also see Jumping)
