Islamic Interpretation
In a dream, all intoxicating substances point to suspicion, anxiety, and uncertainty regarding one’s wealth, the lawfulness of one’s income, the legitimacy of one’s offspring, or the religious validity of one’s marriage. Drinking alcohol in a dream signifies defeat in a conflict. Using drugs or intoxicants in a disgraceful manner in a dream indicates apostasy, loss of honor, denial of truth, corruption of one’s wife, or the utterance of profanity. This is because the original materials and herbs used to prepare such substances are pure in their natural state, but when combined and consumed to induce intoxication in a dream, they bring about opposite and corrupting effects.
