(Offense, Revilement, Profanity, Defamation) Dishonoring someone in a dream may represent the honor of the one casting aspersions, and the lack of merit in the person who is dishonored. An exception to this reading exists if the person insulting another in the dream harbors dubious intentions, and the one affronted in the vision is due respect. It is also held that the one insulted or reviled in the dream might be indebted to their aggressor and must settle what is owed. If the insulter holds a superior social standing, then the victim in the dream is of greater worth than their assailant. Nonetheless, generally, the person abused in the dream emerges ultimately triumphant in waking life. (Also see Insulting)
