Seeing a hunt in a dream symbolizes gain, booty, and profit, reflecting effort directed toward livelihood and success, and hunting deer or rabbits signifies money and material benefit, while hunting merely for sport points to backbiting, slander, or harming others through words; seeing oneself hunting with trained dogs indicates the fulfillment of a long-cherished wish, and watching dogs go out to hunt signifies good news for the public, initiation of an undertaking, or the establishment of a business, whereas their return from the hunt indicates relief from fear, stagnation, or a decline in work; fishing with proper tools represents seeking lawful sustenance and earning honestly, and hunting in general reflects diligence, determination, and striving to earn through one’s own effort, while for an unmarried person it signifies marriage and for a married person it points to the birth of a son; if a woman sees herself hunting, it indicates control over her husband’s wealth, her father’s property, receipt of an inheritance, or influence over major business interests; hunting small game signifies knowledge, a craft, or an inheritance, while the hunter himself represents a philanderer, womanizer, or a person who exploits others, and befriending or assisting a hunter who pursues lawful prey signifies personal benefit, whereas helping in unlawful hunting brings suffering; hunting a lion signifies gaining great power through deception, hunting sparrows, hawks, or falcons signifies authority and dominance, hunting birds or pigeons represents a cunning merchant, hunting wild beasts signifies cheating travelers, fishing may symbolize womanizing, a beast hunter represents one who exploits foreigners, and a bird hunter may also symbolize a teacher, musician, or preacher who gathers followers.
