Embracing a living person in a dream signifies companionship and affection toward him. Giving a brief embrace to a deceased person indicates long life, while holding the dead in a prolonged and continuous hug signifies one’s death. Embracing a woman points to clinging to worldly pleasures and attractions and losing hope for reward in the hereafter. Holding firmly to fruit or affectionately clinging to loved ones signifies easy gain or lawful income. For an unmarried person, tightly holding or embracing a garment means marriage.
