Seeing a horse in a dream symbolizes honor, nobility, generosity, strength, good character, partnership, travel, leadership, commerce, a spouse, or a son, and owning horses signifies prosperity, dominance, and victory over enemies, while riding a horse reflects dignity, elevated status, wealth, and companionship with noble or virtuous people along one’s path; owning a mare indicates the birth of a beautiful son, whereas owning a nag or workhorse points to contentment in life or marriage to a wealthy and honorable woman who will bear children, and seeing a horse may also symbolize acquiring a fine home or secure dwelling; a blond horse represents knowledge, devotion, piety, and fear of wrongdoing, while a nag may represent one’s spouse, and a saddled horse signifies a wife during menstruation when marital relations are forbidden; a gathering of horses indicates an assembly of women for a wedding or a funeral, and owning or feeding a herd of horses reflects leadership over people, managing affairs, or overseeing a business; witnessing the death of one’s horse foretells loss of property, position, or livelihood, and the condition or vigor of the horse reflects the dreamer’s own state, while dismounting from a horse signifies committing a sin that leads to dismissal, resignation, or loss of rank; a hairy horse represents a large family, and damage to a horse’s tail signifies the loss of children or lineage, while a clipped tail indicates the dreamer’s death and the fading of his name; being attacked by a horse signifies being confronted by a noble person or young boy seeking justice, and a winged horse represents temptation and trials through unlawful desire, though for a descendant of the Prophet it signifies elevation in rank and authority; horsemen appearing in the sky indicate war or widespread conflict, and riding a horse while holding a spear signifies coercion, dominance, or forcing others to fulfill obligations; seeing one’s horse drown foretells death from illness, buying a horse indicates business profit or earnings from teaching, selling a horse signifies gratitude and good conduct, and being bitten by a horse means leadership in warfare; killing a horse symbolizes attaining high rank, wealth, and authority, while slaughtering it unlawfully signifies the ruin of one’s livelihood; a riderless horse entering a town indicates the arrival of a noble or influential person whose presence causes fear or competition, and its departure signifies the imminent death of a notable individual from that place, while horses running through streets foretell destructive rain or floods, and a weak horse reflects the weakness, decline, or vulnerability of its owner.
