In a dream, the head signifies leadership, authority, or personal capital. A larger-than-usual head denotes one's father or an elevation in status and honor, while a smaller head indicates loss of respect, rank, and honor. For an intelligent person, a smaller head means a turn toward ignorance or loss of employment. Having two or three heads signifies victory over enemies, wealth for the poor, blessed children for the rich, marriage for the unmarried, or achieving a goal. Being without a head cover represents disobedience to a superior. A hanging or lowered head means confessing to misdeeds, a life of humiliation, or striving to please others. A head fixed backward suggests delays in goals, hindered travel, or a slow return from a journey. A severed head without beheading foretells imminent death or freedom. A head turning into a lion's head means ruling and prosperity; a sheep's head signifies justice and fairness; a donkey's head indicates a return to ignorance; heads of dogs, donkeys, horses, or domesticated animals symbolize toil and hardship; a bird's head denotes frequent travel; and heads of elephants, wolves, or tigers represent ambitions beyond one's means, yet still beneficial. Being hit on the head with a stone signifies neglecting nighttime prayers. Pain in the head or neck means illness. An anointed head represents good deeds and piety. Eating a raw head means backbiting; eating a cooked head means stealing money from that person if recognized, otherwise stealing from property or shares. Holding one's head in one's hands signifies reorganizing debts. A head on a bloody tray represents a lying leader, as blood in dreams signifies falsehood.
