Generally, experiencing happiness in a dream signifies grief or sorrow. Feeling joy over something that the heart inwardly rejects or recognizes as improper conduct indicates sadness and distress in waking life. Happiness in a dream may also point to negligence in observing God’s commands. If the joy in the dream comes from the freeing of a prisoner or the recovery of a sick person, it signals favorable changes ahead. Being told news meant to bring happiness but causing sadness instead, such as hearing of someone’s return when he has in fact passed away, means that sorrow will soon be lifted. Feeling happy in a dream reflects sadness, grief, or weeping, while seeing one’s friends joyful indicates happiness for the dreamer as well.
