Offering greetings to someone in a dream signifies gaining benefit or advantage from that person. Greeting an adversary points to hostility or the outbreak of conflict between them. Being greeted by an unknown elderly man means protection from divine punishment for one’s sins, while a known old man signifies prosperity. For a farmer, it indicates purchasing fruit tree saplings. Greetings from an unknown young person mean escaping harm from an enemy. For someone seeking marriage, greetings denote acceptance, whereas greeting an unknown person who gives no reply signals refusal. When two merchants greet each other, it shows success in trade, but lack of response indicates dissolution of partnership. If an enemy greets one and presents a gift, it means he seeks reconciliation and is ready to compensate. Being greeted with unfamiliar words and replying normally signifies deliverance from a deadly accident with reward, while refusing or failing to reply brings the opposite. Shaking hands and embracing someone means receiving glad tidings, kind words, or knowledge to be passed on, and doing so with an enemy signifies the end of disputes. Seeing angels greeting the dreamer means growth in insight. Greetings symbolize humility, submission, or the need for a response regarding shared interests. Speaking before greeting, failing to reply, or replying only by gesture denotes innovation. Concluding prayers with the greetings of peace means following the right path, completing tasks, resignation or appointment, dismissal, travel, and profit. Ending prayers by greeting first to the left then to the right indicates following wrongdoing and innovation.
