Islamic Interpretation
A fountain situated appropriately or as an ornament in a courtyard or garden represents honor, prestige, alleviation of concerns or misfortunes, receiving glad tidings, listening to pleasing music, wasteful expenditure, scattering of one's focus, dissolving an assembly, or adding and subtracting if seen near a bookkeeper. A fountain may also signify shunning evil deeds. If told the fountain is blessed in the dream, the opposite holds true; washing or drinking from it then denotes despondency and distress. A fountain can also symbolize a beautiful, wealthy, and noble woman. If no water flows from it, it represents a poor or infertile woman. (Also see Fountainhead, Spring)
