Islamic Interpretation
Seeing the forehead in a dream symbolizes a person’s honor, reputation, dignity, and social standing, as well as his outward reflection of inner character. If the forehead appears blemished, wounded, or fractured, it signifies humiliation, loss of respect, or a decline in authority and influence. Seeing a growth on one’s forehead indicates the birth of a son who will rise to leadership, prominence, and honor in his life. If the forehead appears to be made of stone, iron, copper, or another solid substance, it denotes firmness, strength, and beneficial effects for those in authority, especially policemen or people of power, while for most others it indicates hardness of character that causes them to be disliked or despised by people. A naturally broad and well-proportioned forehead represents good character, sound judgment, and noble traits, whereas a narrow or tight forehead signifies the opposite. If one sees his forehead becoming broader than normal, it points to deterioration of character, such as turning from intelligence to stupidity, from knowledge to ignorance, or from generosity to stinginess. Seeing the forehead turn black signifies neglecting or refusing to pay the obligatory alms, while seeing it bright and radiant reflects compassion, concern for others, and moral integrity. The forehead also represents one of the seven points of prostration in prayer, and any change, growth, or transformation in it may indicate an increase or decrease in devotion, humility, and consistency in worship.
