A fly in a dream represents a weak, contemptible, and backbiting person, whose benefit, if any, extends only to those like himself. Eating flies signifies earning repulsive income. Seeing flies moving within one’s stomach means gaining money from a vile and despicable individual. Flies inside the body indicate association with contemptible people, whose gains will not endure. A large fly symbolizes a powerful enemy who harms people and the land’s economy. Flies hovering over one’s head point to a feeble enemy seeking victory, or influence exerted by someone in authority who compels obedience. If a traveler sees flies settling on him, he should postpone his journey. Flies entering the mouth mean thieves taking refuge in one’s home. A fly or mosquito entering the ear denotes blessings, rank, authority, or profit. Killing a fly signifies safeguarding health. A swarm of flies in the house indicates losses caused by enemies. Though weak, flies represent a persistent foe. A gathering of flies may also signify profit, medicine, healing, repulsive deeds, or an act that brings blame.
