Islamic Interpretation
Seeing oneself enter the gardens of paradise in a dream brings the promise—by God’s will—of entering it in the hereafter. For a pilgrim, it means his pilgrimage is accepted or that he will reach the Sacred House in Mecca. If the dreamer lacks belief, it foretells embracing faith. For a bedridden believer, entering paradise indicates death from his illness; for a bedridden non-believer, it signals recovery. For the unmarried, it suggests marriage; for the poor, it means wealth or inheritance. If a sick person finds himself healthy in the next world within the dream, it shows he will arrive there free of worldly burdens and temptations. If he is not ill, entering the hereafter signifies good news, business success, pilgrimage, renouncing worldly excess, devotion, gaining knowledge, strengthening family ties, or patiently enduring trials linked to one’s sins. Entering the next world merely to look around—and if the dreamer is upright and knowledgeable—may imply unemployment or financial loss. If he fears something, faces accusations, or is under strain, such a vision signals relief from those concerns. Generally, entering the realms beyond suggests travel or migration, and returning from them in a dream points to returning home. Entering paradise specifically also denotes pilgrimage to Mecca.
