Islamic Interpretation
(Accolade, Hug) Embracing someone in a dream signifies a long life. Embracing a deceased person also denotes longevity. If a deceased person embraces the dreamer and does not release him, it foretells the dreamer's death. Embracing a known person indicates forming an association with him. Embracing an enemy means making peace. Some interpreters say an embrace signifies exchanging compliments. An embrace can also denote kindness, mutual affection, travel, returning from a journey, or the relief of worry and anxiety. An embrace is likewise interpreted as sexual intercourse. Embracing a woman signifies love for the worldly life and despair of reward in the hereafter. Embracing a man means offering him support and aid. Embracing the trunk of a tree indicates engaging in hypocrisy. Embracing someone and resting one's head in his lap means entrusting him with one's capital or working in his service.
