Islamic Interpretation
the act of drilling holes into pearls so that they can be strung together carries a very beautiful and auspicious meaning. It symbolizes the completion of something precious and valuable after effort, the removal of the last obstacle that prevents a great good from being realized, and the final preparation that allows scattered blessings to be joined into one continuous garland of success and joy. Pearls in a dream represent noble goals, pure knowledge, righteous children, a virtuous wife, hidden treasures of wisdom, or any rare and priceless bounty that Allah has destined for the dreamer. However, a pearl by itself, undrilled, cannot be worn or fully benefited from; it remains isolated and incomplete. (Also see Drill)
