Pronouncing divorce upon one’s wife in a dream may indicate loss of employment. An unmarried person divorcing another signals the final outcome of whatever good or evil he is currently facing. For a married man, it can mean the end of his trade or, if he is gravely ill, his death. Yet seeing oneself divorce his wife only to take her back soon after suggests briefly abandoning then resuming his livelihood. An irrevocable divorce points to permanently shutting down his business. Divorcing one’s wife in a dream also signifies neglecting treasure, forsaking inheritance, abdicating rule, or removal from office, and generally indicates poverty. Divorcing a sick wife foretells her possible death, unless the dream shows taking her back, in which case she will recover. (See also Repudiation)
