Islamic Interpretation
In a dream, destruction signifies the scattering of a community or death. It may represent the razing of a city or the demise of its governor, or indicate the absence of justice. Undergoing destruction in a vision means enduring persecution from unbearable people. Witnessing a town destroyed by an earthquake suggests the execution of a death sentence there, or the infringement of people's rights and liberties. If one sees an entire city—its buildings, industries, and lands—laid to waste, it shows the people have deviated from the right path or its rulers are beset by disasters.
