To descend a mountain, hill, or any high place in a dream signifies loss, migraine pains, humiliation, or a decline in station. It may represent separation of spouses, loss of employment, demotion, degradation, apostasy, or general misfortune. Descending a sharp incline, however, can denote a safe arrival, worldly provision, or appointment to a religious post. Coming down from a mountain may indicate relief from trials or a shift in circumstances. Descending an aged ladder suggests investing effort into a profitless venture. Should the ladder break during the descent, it signifies defeat by an opponent.
