If a believer sees himself overcome in a dream, it signifies he will don a warrior's helmet and prevail against his foe. Should one witness his own defeat yet feel no fear, it portends his death. Observing soldiers retreating into a city to seek refuge indicates they will ultimately triumph in their conflict, even if their cause is unjust or they serve a tyrant—though they will eventually face punishment for their misdeeds. Should the soldiers of a just ruler be seen entering a city in defeat, it assures they will gain victory over their enemy. (Refer also to Losing a fight.)
