Air

Standing in the air in a dream signifies temporary honor, recognition, or notice from a governor or authority, though it will not last long. If a person is arrogant, self-important, filled with excessive expectations, or overly proud, then floating in the air reflects nothing more than confused or disturbed dreams. Walking in the air without rising or descending represents dignity, lawful earnings, and respect; if the dreamer is unfit for such elevation, it instead indicates travel. Hanging between heaven and earth symbolizes anxiety, hesitation, or uncertainty about one’s decisions. Falling in the air denotes despair, loss of rank, or decline in real life, though falling may also signal relief from hardship, fulfillment of needs, or release from burden. Clear, fresh, pleasant air indicates a favorable time for travel, whether for business or leisure. Air also symbolizes desire and passion; resisting one’s impulses in a dream represents entry into paradise, while following them indicates neglect of religious duties. Standing in the air and speaking loudly foretells blessings, favors, wealth, honor, and reputation. Sitting in the air reflects arrogance or self-deception about religious opinions. Building a structure in the air—such as a house, mat, or tent—signifies the death of a sick person, for what is built becomes the symbolic coffin. If a ruler sees this, it may predict his dismissal from office or his own death. Seeing such a vision after marriage or intimacy suggests mistrust, failure, or loss. It can also signify engaging in improper acts or lacking grounding in the Holy Book and prophetic traditions, since what is constructed has no foundation. Flying through the air signifies travel, while flying with wings is more favorable and powerful, the wings representing wealth or authority. Swimming in the air indicates benefits, trade journeys, or useful endeavors. If the air appears opaque so that the skies cannot be seen, it points to difficulties with one’s superior; if the dreamer has no superior, it may indicate loss of eyesight. If people collectively witness the air becoming thick, dark, or red, it signals a major calamity or severe adversity affecting the community. (Also see Ascending in the Skies; Flying.)

Allah

God Almighty—the Lord, Creator, Sustainer of all worlds. Nothing resembles Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing. Seeing God in a dream is interpreted in accordance with the dreamer’s state. If He is witnessed in His majesty without form, description, likeness, or human attributes, it signifies glad tidings in this life and the next, blessings that may extend even to one’s descendants. If He appears in any other manner, particularly without addressing the dreamer, it indicates confusion or an unsettled spiritual state. If a sick person sees God, it signifies that his death is approaching and that he will meet his Lord. For a misguided soul, seeing God means guidance; for one who is oppressed, it denotes victory and the arrival of justice. Hearing God’s words without seeing Him reflects the dreamer’s inner imagination, though it may comfort the heart and inspire determination. Hearing divine speech without a vision of Him also signifies elevation in rank. Receiving revelation from behind a veil represents confusion and innovation, especially if a messenger describes the speaker as God—for such a depiction is a nightmare, since the Almighty cannot be portrayed through created forms. Seeing an image of God indicates falsehood and attributing to Him what does not befit His glory. If God speaks to a person directly and the dreamer is able to focus on Him, it signifies being enveloped in mercy and blessings. Seeing God in a dream also suggests that one will behold His Divine Countenance in the Hereafter. Witnessing God above the Throne means elevation in knowledge, rank, and sustenance. Running to hide from God signifies abandoning obedience and slipping into heedlessness. A veil between the servant and his Lord indicates major sins and reprehensible deeds. If God’s displeasure is witnessed—such as being unable to bear His light or trembling with fear before hastening to repent—it means the dreamer is deeply engaged in sinful behavior, following desires, introducing false religious notions, and misleading others. Hearing God speak in a dream represents admonition and a warning to avoid sin, and may also reflect increased devotion in reciting the Qur’an. If God speaks with words the dreamer cannot understand, and then blesses or touches him, it means nearness to God and exaltation of rank. If God appears in the likeness of one’s father, brother, or relative while showing kindness, it signifies a forthcoming calamity or serious illness. If a righteous person sees himself standing humbly before God, filled with awe, it means mercy will surround him and strengthen his spiritual growth; the same applies to seeing oneself prostrating before Him. If God speaks from behind a veil, it may symbolize a devoted worshipper; but if the divine speech occurs without a veil, it warns of falling into sin. If God names someone using his birth name and then adds an honorific title, it signifies elevation in status. Seeing God angry means one’s parents are displeased—symbolized also by falling from a high place. If a devout believer sees God kissing him, it indicates increased devotion and reward. Fearing God in a dream reflects nobility, serenity, wealth of the soul, and detachment from worldly cravings. (Also see Carriers of the Divine Throne; Divine Throne; Educator; God's will; King.)

Boat

(Ferry, Ferryboat, Fireboat, Fishing boat, Ship) A fishing boat in a dream signifies gains and advantages. Sailing aboard an unfamiliar vessel, steering it, or issuing commands to its crew foretells marrying a woman from the land associated with that boat, or alternatively conducting trade in that region. Travelling on a ferry in a dream indicates divine mercy and compassion when facing peril. A boat further symbolizes one's kin and family members. Accordingly, the weather conditions observed in the sky during the voyage or passage by boat will appear in the dreamer's household. City

(Town, Urban center, Village) Entering a city in a vision signifies the calming of one's anxieties. Imam Ibn Seerin considered it more favorable to dream of entering a city than leaving it. A city can also symbolize a knowledgeable individual, a sage, or an erudite scholar. Should one enter a city and find it in a state of ruin, it indicates that its learned inhabitants have departed or perished. Some say that witnessing a city foretells the demise of its ruler or the rise of a tyrannical leader from that locale. Observing a city under construction denotes an increase in its wise populace and foretells children who will uphold their forefathers' traditions. A city without a governor points to escalating costs. An unfamiliar city represents the afterlife, while a recognized one symbolizes the temporal world. Finding oneself in an unknown city is also a mark of piety. The most auspicious cities in dreams are the vast ones. One's birthplace signifies his father, and his homeland represents his mother. Being in a northern city suggests an increase in wealth; being in a southern city implies a growth in cunning and deceit. A city's primary trade also influences the dream's meaning. Recognized world cities symbolize their current rulers. Entering a known city indicates one will not die before visiting it again, or that news will arrive from there. City walls denote a powerful leader. Death

In a dream, death can symbolize religious decline, moral decay, or an elevation in worldly standing. This holds true if the dreamer is borne upon a bier accompanied by weeping and mourning, unless he is actually buried. Witnessing one's own burial suggests a hopeless situation and being consumed by worldly concerns. The number of followers assisting him will equal the mourners in his procession, yet he will dominate others and ride upon their shoulders. If one dies in a dream but lacks the appearance of the deceased, with no lamentation or funeral, it may portend the demolition of a property, a collapsing room, a falling wall, or a broken pillar. Such a vision can also indicate spiritual weakness or a blindness of the heart, though the dreamer may live long. Dying and appearing as a corpse, washed and shrouded, similarly points to religious frailty. Any observed grief in this case corresponds to a rise in status and worldly advancement. Death can also signify a journey or indicate poverty. Dying and being buried may mean dying without repentance. Rising from the grave after burial signifies repentance before one's actual end. Death in a vision can also represent marriage, as both the deceased and a bridegroom are washed and perfumed. If one dies and is carried on shoulders but not interred, it denotes victory over an enemy and, for a qualified person, attainment of leadership. Returning to life after death foretells wealth, an end to poverty, repentance from sins, or the safe return of a traveler. The death of an unknown woman signifies drought or scarcity; her revival means rain. Generally, a woman's death in a dream means a child's death in waking life, and vice versa. If a deceased person states he is not dead, he is blessed in the afterlife. Carrying a dead person denotes bearing the provisions of an irreligious individual. Carrying the deceased in any manner other than for burial signifies acquiring illicit money. Bearing a corpse for burial means working for a ruler. A sick deceased person is being questioned about his religious negligence. Seeing the inhabitants of graves emerging to consume people's harvests signals rising food costs. If they drink from wells, a great plague will strike that town. Seeing a deceased person die again and attending his funeral means a family member or child will soon die. If there is no sorrow, it means a marriage in his lineage. What a deceased person says is true, as he resides in the abode of truth. If his words do not come to pass, the dream is confused. Seeing a deceased person well-dressed, smiling, and happy reflects his actual state in the afterlife; seeing him disheveled, dirty, frowning, or crying reflects his condition there. A sick deceased person's state is contingent on settling his debts and awaiting Divine justice. Performing funeral prayers for the dead means seeking forgiveness for them, visiting graves, admonishing someone with a dead heart, bidding farewell to travelers, or caring for the needy. A wife dying and reviving signifies profit from a farm or orchard. Finding a corpse means finding money. Following a deceased person means emulating his path, profession, or traditions. Transporting the dead to a cemetery means doing right; to a marketplace means needing something or quick sales. A deceased person reviving means recovering something lost or the end of difficulties; it also means his progeny will benefit from his legacy. If he looks beautiful and happy, such happiness passes to his descendants. If busy, worried, and ill-dressed, he is engaged in a struggle. If sick, he is answerable for religious negligence. A dark or opaque face means he died in disbelief. If sprightly and joking, the dream is a hallucination, as the dead do not joke. Debt

Settling a debt in a vision signifies coming back from a journey. In dreams, debts represent disgrace, mistreatment, and verbal abuse. If one sees himself discharging his obligations, it means he will restore bonds with kin, reinforce family connections, provide food for the needy, resolve a complex issue, deepen his religious comprehension, or arrive home from travel. If one pays a debt in a dream that he does not recognize in waking life, such debts symbolize his sins, for which he is accountable, whether committed intentionally or not, and their repercussions will pursue him unless he repents. Consequently, he may endure worldly hardships, illness, penalties, or other losses. Fulfilling a debt or satisfying a rightful claim in a dream equates to feeding someone who is hungry, reuniting a family, or returning from a trip—and returning from a journey in a dream likewise means meeting a just demand. (Refer also to Promise, Tripping.)

Marriage

Marriage in a dream is God’s own providence bending over His servant; it is also a cage of silver or of gold, a grave one digs with one’s own hands, a duel fought in the dark. It spells prison, debt, grief that clings like sweat, a heaviness on the chest, a covenant sealed in silent witness or a festival that throws open the gates of renown. To wed a woman you know is to shoulder the full measure of duty; to wed a stranger is to step from an old house whose door is already closing, or to feel the chill of the shroud being measured. A sick bride who signs the unseen contract dies of her illness; a qualified groom climbs to a seat of high command. If the bride dies at the first kiss, the groom inherits only bruising toil; if she is an adulteress, so is he; if she is already dust, a buried venture rises breathing profit. A mother offered as bride is a house sold; a pregnant bride carries a daughter in her womb, but on the wedding night she births a son. A mother with a son who remarries gives the boy away; any woman who weds gains something, but the woman who weds a corpse is driven into loss and wandering. A second wedding while the first wife still breathes brings money; to marry the daughter of knowledge is to drink from an ever-flowing spring; to marry the scholar while sick is to be healed. To wed a living relative forbidden by blood is to cut the bond, and if that relative is already clay, it is to weave new threads with those who remain. (Also see Cage, Duel, Sanctuary, Wife, Yoke)

Paradise

In dreams, paradise, often associated with green garments, signifies divine favor, righteousness, and glad tidings of a blessed deed that the dreamer will perform, for only a just and upright person may behold it, not an unjust one. Seeing paradise without entering it announces forthcoming goodness, while desiring to enter it but being prevented indicates the need for patience, such as being barred from performing the pilgrimage to Mecca, or being delayed from repentance for a sin one once insisted was not sinful, even after feeling a sincere urge to repent. Seeing one gate of paradise closed signifies the death of one parent, two closed gates signify the loss of both parents, and all gates locked indicate parental displeasure, whereas entering paradise freely through any gate reflects the pleasure and approval of both parents. Being admitted into paradise may symbolize one’s death, or sincere repentance guided by a righteous spiritual mentor who leads the dreamer toward salvation. Entering paradise can also mean achieving one’s goals, though such success may be surrounded by trials and subtle challenges. Seeing paradise further signifies companionship with people of knowledge, refined character, and good conduct toward others. Entering paradise with a smile indicates constant remembrance of God, while entering it with an unsheathed sword signifies enjoining good, forbidding evil, receiving honor in both worlds, and possibly attaining martyrdom. Sitting beneath the central Tubah tree represents blessings and prosperity in this life and the next, while sitting in the gardens of paradise signifies sincerity and perfect adherence to religion. Eating the fruits of paradise means acquiring knowledge, drinking from its rivers of honey and milk denotes wisdom, inner understanding, and prosperity, and leaning against a tree in paradise reflects the chastity and righteousness of one’s wife. Picking fruits of paradise and feeding others symbolizes teaching and spreading knowledge, while being denied its fruits points to negligence in religious duties. Pearl

In dreams, pearls, beads, jewels, money, tears, or women carry profound and varied meanings connected to faith, knowledge, offspring, and worldly and spiritual value. Drilling holes in pearls to string them signifies fulfillment of ambitions, easing of difficulties, facilitation of marriage, or smooth completion of important matters. A pearl often symbolizes a son, and if a pregnant wife gives her husband a pearl, it indicates the birth of a beautiful boy. A dull or non-glittering pearl, or one taken from a wife and locked away, may represent a servant. For a woman, seeing a pearl brings glad tidings, and for an unmarried woman it foretells marriage. Exchanging a pearl or precious gem for fake jewelry or glass reflects sacrificing the rewards of the Hereafter for worldly pleasures, trading something valuable for what is worthless, committing sin, or even falling into apostasy. Pearls also represent the Qur’an, eloquent speech, wisdom, children, servants, integrity, beauty, and wealth. Piercing a pearl indicates offering deep and valuable interpretations of Qur’anic verses, while swallowing pearls may mean forgetting Qur’anic knowledge or, in another context, acquiring wisdom and learning. Selling pearls signifies gaining knowledge, recognition, and respect, while throwing pearls to people who collect them as the dreamer stands aside symbolizes a judge or authority whose words are accepted and followed. Receiving a pearl means caring for a relative’s daughter, and finding a pearl indicates finding a wife. Borrowing a pearl suggests begetting a son who is given away or who may die shortly after birth. Pearls also indicate wealth obtained through inheritance, and their meaning varies by role: for a scholar they signify knowledge, for a ruler expansion of power, for a merchant growth in business, and for a craftsman advancement in skill. Pearls further symbolize the final touch in adornment, proper display of beauty, fantasies, or attractions. Drilling a pearl may also carry a forbidden meaning of incest, swallowing a pearl may signify concealing testimony, chewing pearls indicates backbiting, vomiting pearls represents plotting and deception, and throwing a pearl into a river signifies helping others. Extracting a pearl and discarding its shell points to grave desecration and unlawful acts, while opening a casket to retrieve stored pearls signifies questioning a scholar. Counting pearls means enduring hardship, seeing pearls brings joy and happiness, and receiving them as a gift denotes political appointment. Pearls may also symbolize good speech, money, or servants, and a pearl necklace represents marriage, a sum of wealth, or memorization of the Qur’an. Carrying loads of pearls indicates heavy responsibilities, throwing pearls to swine or onto refuse signifies giving knowledge to the unworthy who mock it, and burning pearls as fuel symbolizes placing unbearable burdens on others. Pearl necklace

A pearl necklace in a vision signifies feminine beauty and adornment. Such a necklace, or one made of corals, also represents devoutness, conscious piety, or an attitude of reverence before the Almighty. All such meanings are influenced by the necklace's worth, elegance, clarity, and the quantity of gems it contains. For a woman, a pearl necklace symbolizes her spouse or her young son. If a man sees himself wearing one, it indicates he is a pursuer of knowledge, spiritual insight, and wisdom. It may also denote fulfilling a pledge, making a vow, or entering into marriage. If his wife is expecting, it foretells the birth of a son who will mature into a sage, a man of learning, or a judge. This holds true unless the necklace breaks within the dream. Should it break, it signifies breaking one's promise, forgetting acquired knowledge, falling into negligence, or suffering expulsion, removal, or exile from home or homeland. Wearing one or two pearl necklaces suggests adherence to divine revelations, memorization of God's Words, recitation of the Holy Quran, speaking wisely, and being among those entrusted with a divine responsibility who exhibit reliability, piety, faithfulness, religious dedication, and noble character. Psalms of David

The Psalms of David that appear in the chamber of sleep are the original breath that still circles the earth like an invisible belt, each syllable a drop of resin bleeding from the wounded heart of the cedar of Lebanon, so that whoever hears them is coated with the fragrant sorrow of every prophet who ever wept over a city that would not answer; they are the sound of the soul remembering it was once a single flute before it was broken into two reed pipes, and the lament is only the longing for that lost wholeness. To recite them is to become the echo-location of divine mercy, sending grief outward and letting it return as guidance, the way a bat navigates darkness by the shape of its own cry; every verse is a tear that refused to fall to the ground and instead rose, crystallized, and became a lens through which the face of the Friend can be glimpsed in the midst of any calamity. The Psalms are the ledger in which the universe records every sigh pressed out by oppression, every gasp of wonder at dawn, every moan of the lover separated from the Beloved, and whoever utters them in dream is auditing the account of human pain so that no sorrow is ever lost or declared bankrupt. They are the hidden music behind the apparent world, the percussion of hearts knocking against the door of mercy, the flute of breath slipping through the cracks of the ribs; to hear them is to discover that all worldly sound is merely a poor translation of this original score written on the membrane between the seen and the unseen. When they surface in sleep they carry the scent of the shepherd’s field where David once stood, a smell of wet wool and struck earth that convinces the dreamer he is still a keeper of some small flock of hopes that must be guarded from the wolf of despair. The Psalms are the rope let down from the sky of nearness, woven of repentance and praise in equal strands, and whoever climbs it finds that every rung is a name he once mispronounced and now learns to say correctly through the mouth of tears. They are the reunion of opposites: fear folded into serenity like two wings of the same bird, unity emerging from the clash of discordant selves the way a single drumhead is tightened by the pulling of opposite ropes. To earn one’s bread by their recitation is to be fed by the original baker who first mixed the dough of language with the yeast of longing, so that every word rises and becomes a loaf that can be broken and shared among the hungry caravan of the living and the dead. Thus the Psalms in dream are not poems but pulses, not verses but vessels; whoever carries them wakes carrying a wineskin filled with the same liquid lament that once intoxicated the king-prophet on the roof of his palace, and from that day forward every step he takes leaves a faint print of music that the wind repeats to anyone still listening for the sound of the first yes spoken between the soul and its Maker.

Quran

Qur’an. (Garden, Sacred Scripture, Final Revelation) In a dream, the Noble Qur’an symbolizes a garden, for gazing upon it resembles beholding a beautiful orchard, and its verses are fruits of wisdom and knowledge that the reader gathers. Learning a verse of the Qur’an, a saying of the Prophet, a prophetic tradition, or a skill in a dream signifies wealth after poverty or guidance after heedlessness. Seeing oneself reading directly from the pages of the Qur’an in a dream denotes honor, authority, joy, and triumph. Reciting the Qur’an from memory without looking at the pages means truthfulness, the validity of one’s claim, righteousness, and enjoining what is right while forbidding what is wrong. If a person is told a Qur’anic verse in a dream, he should comprehend it, memorize it, and act upon it. If the verse speaks of mercy, glad tidings, or exhortation, the dream’s meaning corresponds to that message. If the verses contain counsel, one should follow it to gain benefit. If the verses include warnings, threats of punishment for disbelievers, or swift retribution for sins, one must hasten to repentance, even if the verses refer to earlier peoples or times. Seeing oneself reciting the Qur’an while understanding its meaning indicates alertness, intelligence, faith, and spiritual insight. If a verse is recited to someone in a dream and he rejects the divine judgment, it means harm from an authority or an imminent punishment from God Almighty. If an illiterate person sees himself reading the Qur’an, it may signify his death or the reading of his record. Reading the Qur’an without genuine interest in a dream means following personal opinions, interpretations, and innovations. Eating the pages of the Qur’an in a dream means earning one’s livelihood through its knowledge. Completing the entire Qur’an in a dream signifies a great reward from one’s Lord and the fulfillment of one’s requests. If a disbeliever sees himself reading the Qur’an, verses of admonition will benefit him, verses of punishment will warn him, and parables will call him to reflection. Writing Qur’anic verses on mother-of-pearl slabs or on cloth indicates interpreting it according to personal desire, while inscribing a verse on the ground signifies disbelief. Reading the Qur’an in a dream also denotes fulfillment of needs, purification of the heart, and establishment of success. Discovering that one has memorized the Qur’an in a dream, though not in waking life, means acquiring great property. Hearing the Qur’an signifies strengthening of power, a praiseworthy end, and protection from envy and harm. If a sick person recites a verse but cannot recall its chapter, it indicates recovery. Resurrection

Seeing the Day of Resurrection or Doomsday in a dream serves as a grave admonition for a sinner and a strong warning for one who is inclined toward committing sins. It also signifies the manifestation of justice. If one sees himself as the only person resurrected on that day, it indicates his death. Standing upright awaiting judgment on the Day of Resurrection in a dream symbolizes travel. If a person sees himself and his wife as the only ones brought forth for judgment on the Great Day of Gathering, it reflects his injustice toward her or others. For a warrior, witnessing the Day of Resurrection means that, by Allah’s decree, the aggressor will be defeated. The land of the great gathering represents a chaste woman or a noble and honorable man. Hearing the Trumpet of Resurrection blown in a dream signifies salvation and deliverance for the righteous. Witnessing the extraordinary signs and events that precede the Day of Resurrection brings glad tidings to a believer who does good deeds and serves as a stern warning for a disbeliever to repent and reform before it is too late. Such a dream may also point to the occurrence of major signs, including bloodshed, the spread of corruption, dominance of atheism, pride in wealth, empowerment of the working class, construction of tall buildings, the decline of kingship on earth, or reminders of foretold signs like the sun rising from the West, the appearance of a speaking beast, or the emergence of the Imposter (Dajjal). Seeing the Day of Resurrection likewise represents the spread of evil, the expansion of policing forces, and the rule of powerful armies and tyrannical regimes, making the dream a reminder and warning for the dreamer. If graves are seen splitting open and the dead emerging with their angels, it indicates that justice will prevail in that land. If one experiences resurrection in a dream and then sees the world return to its former state, it means justice will rule temporarily before tyranny arises through unexpected people. This dream may also apply to someone seeking the impossible or stubbornly persisting in falsehood and wrongdoing. Recognizing the imminent final signs of the Day of Reckoning in a dream signifies heedlessness and serves as a warning. An easy reckoning denotes the piety, kindness, and affection of one’s wife, while a harsh and detailed reckoning signifies great losses. If good deeds outweigh bad deeds, it shows true devotion and greater reward. Carrying the scale to weigh deeds indicates righteousness and integrity. Seeing an angel handing over the record and commanding one to read it signifies being on the right path. Walking on the bridge of Judgment while holding one’s record and crying reflects supplication for forgiveness and ease in reckoning. Seeing Doomsday may also mean escape from dangerous enemies or the occurrence of a great trial in that place. Crossing the Bridge of Judgment indicates deliverance from a severe trial or overcoming a major obstacle in life. Carrying the book of records in the right hand signifies righteousness, wealth, and honor, while carrying it in the left hand signifies falling into sin, poverty, and dependence on others, for wealth does not coexist with adultery. Witnessing the emergence of the Imposter (Antichrist) in a dream signifies new trends, innovations, and masses deviating from the straight path. Skies

(Stronghold, Offspring, Vault of heaven, Celestial spheres, Dwelling, Parent, Vow, Sea, Jail, Instructor, City, Spouse, Marvels) In a vision, the sky denotes its own self. Whatever descends from that direction or emerges from it will come to pass. If flame rains down upon people's dwellings from the sky, it signifies epidemics, sickness, chest ailments, pustules, or mortality and ruin. If it falls upon a marketplace, it indicates rising costs. If it descends upon cultivated lands, it means crops may be scorched, frozen, or ravaged by locusts or other destructive pests. Beneficial things descending from above, such as honey, oil, figs, grain, or coin, signify timely rain and a bountiful harvest for that year. Whatever descends from the heavens, whether favorable or adverse, may also reflect the ruling authority and the difficulties or advantages it brings the populace. Ascending toward the sky using a rope, ladder, or steps denotes elevation, advancement in rank, fortune, and divine aid. If one climbs without a visible means, it suggests dread and haughtiness. If the intent is to observe others covertly, it may point to work as an informant. A safe descent means escaping and being pardoned from one's wrongdoing. A fall resulting in broken bones means a similar accident may occur in waking life. If an ill person climbs and does not return to earth, it may foretell death from that ailment. If he returns, his sickness will intensify and his trials peak, though by God's will he will recover unless he falls into a pit, which then signifies his grave. Seeing the sky shoot arrows that wound and cause bleeding represents levies and seizure of property by the state. If arrows strike only ears and eyes, great trials and seductions will afflict all. If arrows fall harmlessly and people gather them, they symbolize spoils to be won or a heavenly blessing to be shared. Drawing near to the sky in a vision means drawing close to one's Lord, especially for the devout and faithful. It also signifies a plea requiring an immediate response, which, God willing, will be granted. It may also indicate approaching a town governor, or anyone whose favor is sought—a teacher, scholar, father, or spouse. If the sky appears to collapse upon one's head, the roof of his house may give way, or he may perish from an existing malady. Climbing and entering the sky signifies dying as a martyr. Standing in the sky denotes commanding or reprimanding others. Looking down from the sky upon the earth signifies rising in status, followed by regret over a missed opportunity. A green sky heralds abundance and a good yield. A sky turned to iron signals drought or scant rain. Falling from the sky suggests abandoning faith, becoming a transgressor, or being struck by a great disaster brought by a tyrant. If the iron sky cracks and an elder emerges, he represents the forefather of the local community, and the people will enjoy bounty, prosperity, and joy. If a youth appears, he symbolizes an enemy and an evil about to befall them. A sheep emerging means gains; camels signify rain; a lion denotes a despotic ruler. A sky become one solid mass means drought. If it splits and its doors swing wide, it means rain or answered prayers. Reaching out to touch the sky means pursuing a major aim and failing to achieve it. Approaching the lower heavens means worldly acquisitions, profits, and standing in material or spiritual domains. Gazing at the sky, eastward or westward, signifies a journey. Stealing the sky and concealing it in a vessel means stealing a Qur'anic manuscript and hiding it with one's wife. A wide-open sky means blessings and benefits. Rising toward the sky lying flat means becoming wasted or suffering commercial losses. Rising effortlessly without lying on one's back means honor, success, and safety from enemies' harm. Biting the sky portends a calamity, business reverses, failure to achieve goals, or a dispute with a superior. Touring the sky and returning to earth means becoming a famed astronomer or astrologer. Leaning one's back against the sky means attaining leadership or overcoming rivals. Being in the sky in a non-human form means departing this world without divine favor. Hanging by a rope from the sky means succeeding to another's governance or inheriting his position; if the rope snaps, the opportunity is lost. A lit candle in the sky whose brilliance overshadows the sun's represents a solar eclipse. Seeing the sky being built before one's eyes means giving false testimony. Falling from the sky may also warn against falling into sin. Falling headfirst denotes a long life. Finding oneself in the sky without recalling how one arrived there means, God willing, one is already in paradise. Radiance or shimmering rays piercing the sky means divine guidance. Dark clouds passing through mean straying from the righteous path. A scourge descending means plagues and misfortunes will strike people as punishment for their sins or crimes. For the spiritually aware and learned, seeing the sky means lucidity, insight, focusing on heavenly concerns, journeying to far lands, or trading in imports and exports. Climbing into the sky may also signify falsehood, erroneous beliefs, deceit, or speaking about God Almighty without proper knowledge or guidance. It may also mean seeking provision, fulfilling needs, or keeping a promise. The skies may also represent the ocean due to their expanse and the multitude of creatures within, or the maturing of fruits, the completion of one's labors, a helmet, armor, a wife, wealth, faith, death, slander and falsehood against one who is raised then brought low, reconciliation with foes, the portions allotted to each of God's creations—good and evil—the sustenance of people and beasts, gains, losses, blessings, or afflictions. Spiritual gathering

If a person unqualified to lead or teach religion dreams of hosting a spiritual gathering and exhorting people to righteousness while forbidding evil, it signifies distress and illness, along with intense supplication for relief by God’s permission. Underground granary

A subterranean structure for storing grain in a vision signifies a devoted mother, a lone guardian, or an adoptive parent. This understanding stems from the parallel of an unborn child reliant on its mother for sustenance. When the provisions are depleted, one must seek a fresh supply. Should the underground granary appear destroyed or packed with soil, and the dreamer's mother is unwell, this portends her potential passing from that ailment. If his spouse is with child, it indicates the infant's imminent arrival. A ruined granary signifies securing a purchaser for one's harvest, and the soil within symbolizes currency. If the stored grain transforms into earth, it forecasts a decline in market values or a forfeiture of capital. Witnessing the storehouse brimming with sustenance means the dreamer's wife is expecting. Flames devouring the grain foretell escalating costs. A granary filled with sugar or dates suggests prices will settle and become reasonable, though that specific commodity will grow scarce, causing its value to increase. If an ill individual tumbles into such a granary, it denotes his demise, perishing at sea, or falling victim to bandits. For one embroiled in conflict, this vision represents confinement in jail or a trip to a house of ill repute.

Village

(City, Town, Suburban Area) A village in a dream often symbolizes injustice, moral corruption, or deviation from divine guidance, which may eventually lead to destruction as a consequence of people’s sins. It reflects collective behavior and the spiritual condition of its inhabitants, whether upright or corrupt. Entering a well-fortified village in a dream signifies engaging in conflict, dispute, or confrontation with another person or group. Entering a village may also indicate assuming authority over it, presiding over its people, or beginning a new occupation or responsibility. Crossing from a village into a city in a dream carries multiple meanings. It may signify rising from a humble or menial occupation to a more honorable and respected position. Conversely, it can also indicate belittling a good deed one has performed, regretting it, or misjudging goodness as something evil. In another sense, it reflects indecision, doubt, or inner confusion about one’s actions and intentions. Walking out of a village in a dream signifies escaping from evil, corruption, or harmful influences. Moving from a city into a village, however, indicates the opposite: abandoning comfort, safety, and stability to face hardship, fear, or discomfort. Moving from a village into a city represents leaving toil and hardship behind and entering ease and security. Seeing a destroyed village in a dream indicates heedlessness, moral decay, or a calamity brought upon its people due to their sins. If the village is destroyed by fire, flood, frost, locusts, or plague, it signifies suffering under the oppression of a tyrannical or unjust ruler. Wedding

Seeing oneself as a groom on the night of his wedding in a dream, especially when accompanied by music, singing, or dancing, is an ominous sign. Such a vision signifies death occurring in that very place, as excessive celebration in dreams often symbolizes an end rather than a beginning. If a person sees himself consummating a marriage in a dream but is unable to see, recognize, or identify the bride, and her identity remains unknown or unnamed, this too signifies death. The absence of recognition indicates separation from the worldly life and transition to the Hereafter. However, if the dreamer clearly sees his bride, recognizes her, or she is explicitly named and identified as his wife in the dream, then the interpretation changes completely. In this case, the dream signifies acquiring wealth, prosperity, and material gain. The known bride represents the world, benefit, or lawful provision that the dreamer will attain. Thus, a wedding in a dream may symbolize either an ending or a gain, depending on whether the bride is hidden or known, and whether the scene is marked by excess and noise or clarity and recognition.
