Islamic Interpretation
Witnessing oneself interred following death in a dream suggests embarking on an extended voyage marked by financial scarcity. Being laid in the earth while still alive, and recognizing the person doing so, indicates that individual will wrong the dreamer through attack, tyranny, confinement, or unfair treatment. Perishing within the grave after interment foretells possibly succumbing to those afflictions. Enduring and emerging from them promises deliverance from similar threats, captivity, or wrongdoing. Observing another guiding one toward the grave's brink implies that person will steer the dreamer toward demise, yet praise may follow posthumously. Placement in a casket by another signifies relocating to a fresh residence. Heaping soil over the body points to accumulating wealth proportionate to the earth covering it. Burial while alive generally signifies decline in faith or devotion, unless the dreamer emerges unharmed. Stepping forth from the tomb soiled with earth, then brushing it away, reflects a dire condition or faint prospect for sincere atonement. Such live burial can denote incarceration, disdain from others, or harsh retribution serving as a warning to onlookers. A scholar or sage buried alive within his dwelling, or revived from it, means heirs will receive his learning, insight, and rank. Similarly, a prophet or pious figure rising alive from his tomb conveys inheritance of their spiritual legacy. Interment occurring after dawn, midday, or dusk serves as admonition to pursue righteousness and shun wrongdoing. Live burial is deemed erroneous, symbolizing disloyalty. It may alternatively represent union in marriage, affluence, or serenity following trials. A departed soul entombing the dreamer alive suggests unpaid obligations, detention to settle them, or rejected surety. Re-interring a deceased person implies concealing one's own errors. One deceased burying another indicates reconciliation, purified relations, affection and bonds among kin, or possibly confinement, wedlock, illness, an entrusted duty, or securing a debt. Experiencing burial post-death urges repentance prior to passing. Emerging alive thereafter hints at renewed contrition. Allah knows best. (Also see Cemetery, Grave)
