Islamic Interpretation
Adam, the father of humanity, peace be upon him, in a dream symbolizes both sin and sincere repentance. He may represent one’s father or a leader over people. Seeing him standing with dignity suggests success, achievement, and honor. If Adam speaks to the dreamer, it means acquiring knowledge. Becoming Adam or one of his companions—if one is worthy of such a rank—indicates rising to an esteemed position. Adam also reflects the temporary nature of worldly life. Seeing him may signify understanding and insight, for he was the first to witness dreams and to name created things. His presence can also denote reunion with family, forgetfulness, concerns, or recurring worries.
