Recently, I had an unusual dream. I saw an ATM that suddenly appeared on the veranda of my childhood home β€” outside, yet very close to the house where I grew up. Interestingly, I couldn’t see the money inside, but I could feel its presence. In the dream, I was absolutely certain the ATM was full, even without looking inside.

Dream About Extinguishing Fire With Sugar: Islamic Interpretation, Jinn & Conflict Resolution

5 min read

I had a very unusual dream. In it, I was standing inside a dense ring of fire, as if I were in the center of a great circular blaze. I do not remember how exactly the fire started or from which side it came. There were many people around me: they were all looking at me, spreading their hands helplessly and doing nothing. Despite the wall of flames, I did not feel fear when I saw the fire; I simply observed it and stayed calm.

Bereavement of a Child in a Dream: Islamic Meaning, Joyful Reunions and Family Shifts

Recent
5 min read

Classical Islamic dream books explain that seeing bereavement of a child in a dream usually carries the opposite meaning in real life. Instead of predicting the loss of a child, it points to joy, reunion, pleasure and honour for the dreamer. Some scholars also mention that it can hint at a phase when one's children or spouse may seek more independence, such as living separately or starting their own household. In other words, what appears in the dream as a painful scene often comes with a hopeful message: that Allah may open a door of relief, reconciliation and respect after a period of fear or emotional heaviness.

Swampy Water, Prayer and a Jinn in a Dream: From Feeling Trapped to Spiritual Freedom

Recent

In this dream I found myself in a swampy place covered in fog. The swamp was in the middle of a forest. There was no solid land in sight, only shallow, murky water everywhere. The water was opaque and lifeless: no birds, no fish, no people. In the middle of the swamp stood a sturdy wooden chair, oak-coloured. I sat on this chair. The seat felt like a burden. I could not stand up, as if invisible bonds were holding me down. My feet were in the cold water. I felt uncomfortable, but not terrified. I was strangely calm, simply sitting there. I sensed an evil presence in the water, like a jinn or shaitan. It was ghost-like, similar to a figure from a horror movie, and it was approaching me. I did not want it to touch me. I began to recite prayers. While I was reciting, my hands became free. I kept telling myself: "Allah is looking at me, Allah is looking at me." Then I put both hands into the water and recited a prayer again, though now I cannot recall exactly which one. At that moment I woke up.
